PARANG SALAWAKU
Parang Salawaku is a traditional weapon of the Moluccas. Salawaku consists of Parang machete (long knife) and Salawaku (shield) which in the past is a weapon used to fight. In Ambon city government emblem, can be found also Parang Salawaku. For the people of Maluku, Parang and Salawaku is a symbol of independence of the people.
